Wanuskewin is a wide range of partnerships, founded on the idea of a cooperative relationship between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal peoples. A business Board of Directors governs WHPA.
Wanuskewin Heritage Park Authority has twelve (12) Directors composed of both non First Nations and First Nations people. WHPA is the umbrella for the partnerships that form Wanuskewin. The directors on the Board are responsible for the overall operation of the Park. Its Board of Directors consist of representatives from the Governments of Saskatchewan and Canada, the City of Saskatoon, the Meewasin Valley Authority, the University of Saskatchewan, the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations and Friends of Wanuskewin.
